Shipping & Returns
At ROCHEFORT 1848, every order is prepared with care and attention to detail.
Our collections are produced in considered quantities, reflecting our commitment to quality, responsible production and the avoidance of unnecessary overproduction.
This Shipping & Returns Policy applies to all purchases made through our official online store and should be read alongside our Terms & Conditions.
1. Shipping & Delivery
Complimentary Worldwide Shipping
ROCHEFORT 1848 offers complimentary standard shipping to all destinations available at checkout, unless otherwise specified.
Available shipping destinations and delivery options are displayed during checkout.
Order Processing & Dispatch
Orders containing products available in stock are generally prepared and dispatched within 2–3 business days following order confirmation.
As part of our approach to responsible production, certain pieces are produced in controlled quantities rather than held in excess inventory.
Depending on product availability, some orders may therefore require up to 7 business days in total for preparation and dispatch.
These processing periods are separate from the estimated shipping times below.
Estimated Delivery Times
Once an order has been dispatched, standard delivery estimates are as follows:
-
Switzerland: 2–3 business days
-
Europe: 5–7 business days
-
International: 7–10 business days
Delivery estimates begin from the date of dispatch and exclude the order preparation period.
All timeframes are estimates rather than guaranteed delivery dates. Business days exclude weekends and applicable public holidays.
Once an order has been dispatched, customers will receive a shipping confirmation by email, including tracking information where available.
2. Limited Collections & Production Periods
ROCHEFORT 1848 releases collections in carefully considered quantities, with selected pieces produced according to demand.
This approach allows us to manage availability responsibly, avoid unnecessary overproduction and maintain our intended quality standards.
For products requiring additional preparation, dispatch may take up to 7 business days, as outlined in Section 1.
During exceptional collection launches or periods of significantly increased demand, certain orders may require further production beyond these normal processing periods.
In such circumstances, production and dispatch may require an additional 7–14 business days beyond the usual estimated timeframe.
Where a material extension becomes necessary, we will make reasonable efforts to inform affected customers as early as possible.
3. Collection Drop Compensation
We recognise the importance of timely delivery and appreciate our clients' patience when exceptional production delays occur.
Customers whose orders are directly affected by a qualifying additional production delay of 7–14 business days beyond our normal preparation period may be eligible for a complimentary benefit.
Eligible clients may choose between:
-
A complimentary ROCHEFORT 1848 item with a retail value of up to CHF 100, subject to availability.
-
CHF 100 in store credit, voucher value or the equivalent in customer account points, where available.
Eligibility and the applicable benefit will be confirmed by our Client Services team.
This benefit is limited to one compensation per qualifying affected order.
Normal preparation periods of up to 7 business days do not, by themselves, qualify for compensation.
Compensation applies to qualifying delays directly attributable to ROCHEFORT 1848 production or order preparation. Delays caused exclusively by customs authorities, delivery providers, incorrect shipping information, unsuccessful delivery attempts, force majeure or other circumstances outside our reasonable control are excluded.
Store credits, vouchers and account points issued under this programme are valid for 24 months from the date of issue and cannot be exchanged for cash, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
4. Customs, Duties & Taxes
International deliveries may be subject to customs duties, import taxes, clearance fees or other charges imposed by the destination country.
Unless expressly included at checkout, these charges are the responsibility of the customer and are not covered by our complimentary shipping service.
Such charges are determined by the relevant authorities and may vary depending on the destination and applicable regulations.
Customs inspections and clearance procedures may occasionally extend the estimated delivery time.
5. Delivery Delays
While we make every reasonable effort to fulfil orders within the indicated timeframes, delays may occasionally arise due to production requirements, increased demand, customs procedures, logistics disruptions or exceptional circumstances.
Where a significant delay becomes known to us, we will endeavour to keep affected customers informed.
ROCHEFORT 1848 is not responsible for delays caused exclusively by third-party delivery providers, customs authorities or circumstances outside our reasonable control, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Nothing in this section limits any mandatory consumer rights.
6. Returns
Our collections are produced in limited quantities, and selected products may be manufactured on a made-to-order or demand-based basis.
Where no mandatory statutory right of withdrawal applies, ROCHEFORT 1848 does not generally offer returns solely due to a change of mind, personal preference or an incorrect size selection.
We encourage clients to review product descriptions, measurements and our Size Guide before placing an order.
Where applicable consumer law grants a right of withdrawal, including the statutory withdrawal period for eligible European Union distance purchases, customers retain that right regardless of our general returns policy.
Production on demand does not, by itself, exclude statutory withdrawal rights. Any applicable exception for individually customised or personalised products will be assessed in accordance with the relevant law.
7. Damaged, Defective or Incorrect Items
In the event that an order arrives damaged, contains a manufacturing defect or differs from the item purchased, customers may request an appropriate remedy.
We kindly ask customers to contact our Client Services team, preferably within 7 days of receiving their order, at hey@rochefort1848.com.
Please provide:
-
Your order number.
-
A brief description of the issue.
-
Clear photographs showing the relevant damage, defect or incorrect item.
Our team will review the request and provide further instructions.
The requested 7-day notification period is intended to facilitate prompt investigation and does not limit mandatory statutory warranty or consumer rights.
8. Exchanges & Size Issues
We recommend consulting the Size Guide provided on each product page before completing a purchase.
Where no mandatory statutory return right applies, an exchange requested due to an incorrect size selection is subject to product availability and approval by our Client Services team.
Depending on the circumstances, we may offer an exchange for another available size or store credit as a gesture of goodwill.
Limited-edition, individually customised, made-to-order or sold-out products may not be available for exchange.
Any mandatory statutory rights remain unaffected.
9. Refunds
Where a return has been approved due to a damaged, defective or incorrectly delivered product, we will assess the appropriate remedy in accordance with applicable law.
Depending on the circumstances, the available remedies may include a replacement, repair, exchange, store credit or monetary refund.
Where a statutory right to a monetary refund applies, it will be honoured.
Approved monetary refunds will be issued to the original payment method, unless otherwise agreed or required by law.
Refund processing and the time required for funds to appear in a customer's account may vary depending on the payment provider.
10. Return Shipping
For voluntary returns or exchanges accepted at our discretion for customer-related reasons, return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.
Where a return is required because of a manufacturing defect, transport damage or an incorrect item supplied by ROCHEFORT 1848, we will cover reasonable return shipping costs or provide a prepaid return label where available, in accordance with applicable law.
For statutory change-of-mind withdrawals, customers are generally responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods, except where applicable law or our express agreement provides otherwise.
We recommend using a tracked shipping service and retaining proof of postage.
11. Return Conditions
Where a voluntary return or exchange has been approved, items should be returned unworn, unwashed and in their original condition, with labels, tags, packaging and accessories included where reasonably possible.
Products showing signs of excessive wear, alteration, washing or customer-caused damage may not qualify for a discretionary exchange or store credit.
Customers should contact our Client Services team for the appropriate return address and instructions before sending an item back.
These conditions do not restrict mandatory statutory withdrawal, warranty or other consumer rights.
12. Client Services
For any questions regarding shipping, order preparation, delivery, returns, exchanges or collection-related delays, our Client Services team is available to assist.
